Being Ready for the Coming of the Lord

Again I ask…Are You Ready?

On this Rosh Hashanah, Yom Teruah, Feast of Trumpets, I would like to remember the need to be ready for the coming of the Lord. This article may be different from my others. But here it goes.

None of us are perfect. Not one. On the day that the Lord comes to remove His Bride, the Church from the earth, we will have sinned already in some fashion before even lifting our heads off of the pillow, most likely in thought. For some this may be an exaggeration but I use this hyperbole to show that none of us are without sin. We are all in need of forgiveness. We all need a savior. We all need to humble ourselves and accept the fact that we are not good; we are filthy. We are not holy or righteous by nature, only by what Jesus accomplishes within us.

We need to remember to forgive wholeheartedly and to speak and think on good things. Remember how God forgave you when your sin and debt to Him were so astronomical that you could never pay him back. Remember what He did for you so that you could be forgiven and then show that mercy and grace to someone else. We all have to remember that if we’re ambassadors of Christ we have to monitor our behavior. We are to speak gently to everyone and to show kindness and love even to those who make us want to pull our hair completely out. That doesn’t mean Christians are doormats but just look at how Jesus, Son of God humbled Himself for us.

On top of that, being an ambassador of Christ or a representative is a huge deal. That means that when we sin, we’re telling the world that this is what Christ represents. See? It matters what we say and do and it matters even more when they don’t add up. If I say I believe in Jesus Christ and that I am to live for Him, then it becomes my duty to ACT LIKE IT. We are not perfect and while in this mortal form, we never will be. Carnal desires are going to be before us at all times. But there is a difference in making a mistake in committing a sin, and living in sin as a habitual lifestyle. We have to do the Lord’s work. When we are called to do something for Christ, we cannot afford to ignore the call. Our job on this earth as Christians is to let our light shine that we may 1)Glorify God, and 2)Bring souls to Him.

Matthew 25:21

This Feast of Trumpets I’m urging everyone including myself, because I am guilty of every single sin, to seek the Lord and ask for forgiveness. Then turn over a new leaf and do better. I have to find kinder words. I have to stop lusting after things that aren’t mine. I have to put an end to my lethargy and put forth a greater effort toward things of the Lord. See, since I know better, I’m required to do better. I’m telling myself, as well as those who may read this, that now is the time to grope after the Lord. Time is short and when He calls us home and we stand before the judgment seat of Christ to receive our rewards according to our works, I want Him to say to me, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” And I know that’s something I haven’t always been. I want my works to amount to precious rewards, not burn and amount to a heap of nothingness.

Now is not the time to debate the existence of God. Guess what? He’s there. There is plenty of proof. People who want to do as they please find reasons to believe He’s not. But their so-called “proof” leads to one conclusion: that they can’t conclusively prove a darn thing. It’s all still a guess and of all things to gamble on, they choose their soul. How sad. If people want proof that there is a God and that the Holy Bible is true and the one sure way to salvation, they need only search the Scripture. Every prophecy ever given in the Bible has been fulfilled or is on it’s way to being fulfilled in the future.

Pastor Billy Crone came out with a series called, “The Final Countdown.” You can find it on YouTube. Not only does he provide indisputable evidence that we are living in the Last Days, or the End Times, but through the Bible prophecies he uses to show this, he also proves the existence of God. Now this is not the crux of his message but as he goes on, you will see that all of these prophecies are fulfilled and being fulfilled just as the Bible said. It cannot be a coincidence and it cannot be made up. The prophecies were given 2-3 thousand years ago.

I’ll give you some notes I took from the first video in the series.

Prophecies of Israel:

10 The Jewish People:

  1. Israel will return to the land -Isaiah 43 “I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west, I will say to the north, “Give them up,” and to the south, “Do not hold them back.” Israel had to have been scattered first, mind you. And they were since 70 AD at the destruction of the Jewish Temple. The Jews returned to the land in that order. East-early 1900s, west- mid 1900s from Europe too, North-1980s Russia and south-May 25, 1991 Israel struck a deal with Ethiopia and 14,500 Jews were airlifted back to Israel.
  2. Israel will become a nation-Isaiah 11:11-12- “In that day the Lord will bring back a remnant of people for the second time returning from the land of Assyria, Lower Egypt, Upper Egypt, Ethiopia, Elam, Babylonia, Hamath, and all the distant coast lands. He will raise a flag among the nations for Israel to rally around. He will gather the scattered people of Judah from the ends of the Earth.”  Ezekiel  37:25” And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant wherein your fathers dwelt, and they shall dwell therein, they and their children, and their children’s children forever. And David my servant shall be their prince forever.” Since 721 BC about 14 different people have conquered the land of Israel. But on May 14, 1948 Israel became a nation and in 1967 they recovered Jerusalem.
  3. Brought forth (made a nation) in one day-Isaiah 66:8 “Has a nation ever been born in a single day? Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment? But by the time Jerusalem’s birth pains begin the baby will be born and the nation will come forth in one day.” May 14, 1948 4pm the declaration was made that Israel is established as a nation.
  4. Become a united nation again- Ezekiel 37:21-22 “And give them this message from the Sovereign Lord. I will gather the people of Israel from among the nations. I will bring them home to their own land from the places they have been scattered. I will unify them into one nation in the land. One king will rule them all: no longer will it be divided into two nations.” In 926 BC divided was divided into 2 kingdoms: Northern 10 tribes of Israel and the other 2 called Judah. But when the Jews came together as a nation in 1948 the kingdoms were joined as one.
  5. The currency will be the Shekel-Ezekiel 45:12, 13, 16 “The standard unit for weight will be the silver Shekel. This is the tax you must give to the prince. All the people of Israel must join the prince in bringing their offerings.” Israel didn’t have the Shekel when they first became a nation. They used the British Pound. But in 1980 they happened to switch back to the Shekel and they use it to this day.
  6. They will blossom like a rose in the desert-Isaiah 35:1-2 “Even the wilderness will rejoice in those days. The desert will blossom with flowers. Yes there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! The deserts will become as green as the mountains of Lebanon, as lovely as Mount Carmel’s pastures, and the plane of Sharon. The Lord will display His glory, the splendor of our God.” The land is special to the Jews and to God. It’s called the Promised Land, good land, the land of milk and honey. Josephus at the time said, “For the whole area is excellent for crops and pasturage. Rich in trees of every kind so that by its fertility it invites even those least inclined to work on the land! Every inch has been cultivated by the inhabitants and not a parcel goes to waste. Thanks to the natural abundance in the soil, many villages are densely populated.” That all changed  for the worse in the last 2000 years as the land was inhabited and ravaged by foreign occupiers abusing the land. They left Israel a wasteland.  In 1845 Alfon Lamartine recalls in his book, Recollections from the East, “Outside the walls of Jerusalem, we saw no living being, heard no living voice. We encountered the desolation and deadly silence expected at the ruined gates of Pompey. A total, eternal dread spell envelops the city, villages and highways.” Mark Twain in 1860 said Israel is a barren wasteland with no trees. The further we went the hotter the sun got and the more rocky and bare. Repulsive and dreary the landscape became. Around the Sea of Galilee he said it was a blistering, naked tree-less land. Villages are “ugly and cramped and squalid and uncomfortable and filthy, and a solitude to make one dreary rusty mounds of barrenness. Sheep were eating gravel because there was no grass.” 1905 Prime Minister of the Netherlands “The Jews have come in vain. Only God can check the blight of the inrushing desert.” AND GOD DID! For 2000 years conquerors tried to revive the land and it didn’t work until the Jews moved back in! When they returned the land responded and the land became more than fertile again. It is now the bread basket of the Middle East and they are majorly exporting huge sweet fruits all over the world. They built a crazy high tech irrigation system and the water already in the soil is tailored to cultivate amazing produce and flowers. It just needed the Jews to discover it again. Mind you…in the desert!
  7. Powerful military-Zechariah 12:6 “In that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume right and left all the surrounding peoples, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place.” Israel has been victorious against all odds. Within hours of Israel’s independence, Egypt Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon invaded Israel. That’s about 20 million people while at the time Israel had about 1 million but they won the war, whooped butt and expanded their land by 20%. They have also trained other militaries around the world. Tiny little Israel has full nuclear capabilities, one of the most powerful militaries on the planet and the most powerful in the region.
  8. Israel will be the center of conflict-Zechariah 12:2-3 “I will make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. And all who try to move it will injure themselves. Please just watch the news. It’s sitting on oil. All three major religions look to it as a holy site, etc.
  9. Peace, safety, destruction -1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 (being fulfilled) “Now brethren, about times and seasons you have no need that I write to you, for you know perfectly well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. While they say peace and safety (security), then sudden destruction will come upon them like a woman in travail with child and they will not escape.”  Peace and security is the phrase all governments including the USA use when addressing the Israel/Middle East conflict.
  10. Israel will rebuild the temple in Jerusalem- Revelation 11:1-8 “I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the Temple of God and the altar and count the worshipers there. But exclude the outer court. Do not measure it because it’s been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the Holy City for 42 months. And I will give power to my two witnesses and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and two lamp stands that stand before the Lord on the earth. If anyone tries to harm them fire will come out of their mouths and devours their enemies. Anyone who wants to harm them must die. These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague. As we breathe at this very moment the Jewish people have prepared everything that needs to be in place for the Temple. Everything is complete according to Levitical Law…all the way down to the priests who must be descendents of Aaron, and the Red Heifer which only recently came back into existence after 3000 years.

My point is to the scoffers and skeptics. Open your eyes and your hearts and stop blocking out the truth that you know lives inside you. He is real and He lives! He died to save you and to keep you from having to pay for your own sins via eternal damnation! But if you refuse to accept that then you have opted for hell. The choice is and always has been yours and I don’t see what anyone has ever lost or failed to gain from believing in and living for Christ Jesus.

My point to all including myself is that time is short. This Feast of Trumpets, this Rosh Hashanah, this Yom Teruah, I urge everyone to shake off sin, represent Christ in our speech and behavior, seek Him, talk to Him through prayer. Believe in Him because He is the only way to be saved from wrath on Earth and wrath after. See time is short. This is a reality every time a year passes and we see another Feast of Trumpets.

Many of us Christians believe that this is the mysterious 2-day feast on which the Church could be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. Known to the world as the Rapture. We need to be READY. Jesus is not coming for a Bride that isn’t ready and wearing her wedding dress, prepared to meet Him. He wants us waiting for Him at the door expecting Him and ready to go. And one of these days, it’s coming. One of these days, the chance to change for the better, the opportunity to be saved and be part of the Church who Christ holds so dear is going to be GONE. And it’s going to happen without warning.

So be ready. Love one another. Be giving and kind. Repent for your sins and kick those dirty little things to the curb. Dwell on Christ-like thoughts. Don’t conform to the world. Leave behind all unholy behaviors. You may not accomplish it in a day but you must be in agreement with God that sin is wrong and that you need Jesus to cleanse you from it. Most importantly, believe in Jesus. Fall on your face and tell Him you need Him and that you accept His sacrifice on the cross. Thank Him for taking the punishment that you deserve and I deserve to endure for eternity. TODAY check yourself, examine your life, live for Christ. You never know when the Last Trump is going to sound.

For You

I love you all and God loves you more.

Peace

God’s Feast Days: Must We Keep Them Today?

What are the Feast Days?

A looooooooong, long time ago when Moses was over the people of Israel, God spoke to him and told him, “Speak to the children of Israel and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which you will proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.” Thus begins Leviticus 23!

So basically God told Moses to tell the children of Israel that there would be 7 feasts or holidays which God has commanded them to follow and honor. First I’ll list and describe them and then I’ll tell you what they mean.

The First 4 Feasts are the Spring Feasts:

  • Passover (Pesach): The Lord declared that on the 14th day of the 1st month (Nisan) of the Jewish calendar, the Jews would celebrate Passover. The specifics of Passover are found in Exodus 12:1-14. On the 10th day of the first month the children of Israel are to go and find a lamb for their household. The lamb must be perfect, without blemish and he must be a male in his first year of life. The lamb is kept until the 14th day and it must be killed in the evening. All of the Jews must do this simultaneously. Then the blood of the lamb must be taken and striped across the two side posts and upper post of the doors on each house. In their respective homes, the children of Israel must roast the lamb with fire and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs-no other way. And the household must consume it all and what remains in the morning must be burned with fire. The lamb must also be eaten hastily, with one’s belt fastened tight, shoes on, and a staff in hand. When Moses received the specifics of how to acknowledge the Passover (while Egypt held the Jews in captivity I believe), the Lord also told him that in the night of Passover He would pass over Egypt and smite the firstborns, man and beast in judgment. But all who had the blood on their doorposts, the Lord would pass over that household and no one who lived inside would be harmed.
  • Unleavened Bread (Chag HaMatzot): On the 15th day of the same month of Nisan, the 1st month, the children of Israel are told to commemorate this feast by eating unleavened or un-risen bread, or bread without yeast for 7 days. On the first day, no work or service is to be done but rather, an offering is to be made by fire. The same goes for the 7th day. These are sabbath days.
  • Firstfruits (Reshit Katzir): The day after the first day of Unleavened Bread, begins the Feast of Firstfruits. When the Jews came into the land that God had chosen for them they were to gather the harvest and bring the very first of it to the priest. The priest will wave a sheaf (gathering of green barley) of the first of the harvest before God as a sign of dedication to Him. The waving of the barley will be done after the sabbath and on that same day, a male, one year old lamb without blemish will be sacrificed as a burnt offering to the Lord.
  • Pentecost (Shavu’ot): This takes place 50 days after the Passover. On this day a new offering is made and the children of Israel are to bring out 2 loaves of bread to wave. They should be of fine flour and baked to rise, not to stay flat. The Jews celebrate this to remember the giving of the Torah. With this new bread, 7 perfect male lambs of 1 year must be presented along with a young bull and 2 rams. They will be a burnt offering. 1 male goat is to be sacrificed as a sin offering, and two lambs, a year old must be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. On that day there will be no work done.

The Last 3 Feasts are the Fall Feasts:

  • Trumpets (Rosh HaShanah): On the first day of the 7th month (Tishri) the Israelites are to take a day of rest, a Sabbath and it will be celebrated with the blowing of Trumpets. This gives this holy day a second name, “Yom Teruah” aka Day of Blowing. A food offering will be made. The Feast of Trumpets falls on the new moon but since no one knows when the new moon will be until it appears, this feast is celebrated for two days. Trumpets has much symbolism behind it that I will elaborate upon soon.
  • Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur): The 10th of Tishri is set aside for the children of Israel to deny themselves and present a food offering. This is a day on which the Israelites do no work because they are being atoned for before God. They must deny themselves or else they will be cut off from their people and must do absolutely no work or they will be destroyed. This is to be observed from the evening of the 9th of Tishri till the following evening.
  • Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot): The Israelites celebrate this on the 15th of Tishri and it lasts for 7 days. The 1st day is a sacred assembly and no work is to be done. For 7 days as well as on the 8th day a food offering is to be made and on the 8th day a sacred assembly is held. The 8th day is the closing special ceremony. So beginning with the 15th day of the 7th month, after they’ve gathered the crops of the land, they celebrate the festival to the Lord for 7 days; the first day is a day of sabbath rest, and the eighth day also is a day of sabbath rest. On the first day the Jews take branches from luxuriant trees— palms, willows and other leafy trees —and rejoice before the Lord for seven days. All native-born Israelites are to live in temporary shelters to proclaim to their descendants that God had the Israelites live in temporary shelters when He brought them out of Egypt. And each of these 7 feasts are to be recognized and celebrated forever!

The Moedim: Divine Appointments & Signs of Things to Come

When Moses was declaring to the children of Israel that these feasts must be honored and that they are holy convocations of God, the full significance behind these celebrations was not known. Passover was initially done so that the wrath of God would pass over the Jews when God smote the first-born of every Egyptian home. Unleavened Bread, where only unleavened bread is eaten and no leavening products are to be found, is representative of sin being eliminated and put away. The leaven represents sin and the holiday parallels the separation of leaven from their bodies and sin from their lives. It also remembers the Exodus from Egypt.

Firstfruits celebrated the harvest. Pentecost is honored for the giving of the Torah. Trumpets is the Jewish New Year and a time of prayer, repentance and soul searching for the Jews. Atonement, the holiest day of the Jewish year is a time of purification and cleansing from sin. It is the only day the High Priest can call upon God and offer a blood sacrifice for the sins of people. It’s known as a day of intercession. And as stated earlier, Tabernacles honors the Exodus from Egypt and the shelters the Jews dwelt in while they left.

But did you know that as dandy as all that sounds, these are not the full meanings of these feast days? When God was giving these feasts He used the word “moed” and “moedim” in the plural. Do you know what moed means? Moed means a divine appointment aka an appointed time. These feasts aren’t just holidays; they’re events that have literal fulfillment! In Colossians 2:16-17 (a Scripture that I’m going to use to make another point later), we are told that these feasts are signs of things that will be. See, what the Jews of Moses’ day didn’t know was that Jesus Christ, the Messiah would come and be the literal fulfillment of these ceremonies!

Jesus fulfilled Passover. He was killed at the very same day at the very same time as the sacrificial Passover lamb. He was the Passover lamb. Remember how on that same day in Moses’ time, God allowed the first-born in Egypt to die? Well He also allowed His own First-born to die on the cross. Notice how the Passover lamb had to be found under certain specifications: it had to be male, young and perfect without blemish. Jesus was male, He was young, and His record did not hold one blemish of any kind. No imperfections, no sin. The blood of the lamb had to be striped onto the door of the house like a cross to show the Lord that the accepted form of protection was covering those who lived within. Today, the way the wrath of the Lord passes over you and I is by us accepting the sacrifice of the lamb and metaphorically wearing the blood. God sees this blood and realizes that we have accepted Jesus so His judgment passes over us. The Jews are to consume the whole lamb and there is to be nothing left. We today are to consume the entire lamb too. We take in all of Jesus, not just the parts of the Word that are tasty to us. Passover was literally accomplished by Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior.

Jesus is the epitome of Unleavened Bread. How? Because the leaven or yeast represents sin and there is none found in Jesus. Not only did the Jews remove yeast from their diets but they removed sin from their lives. Well Jesus said He’s the bread of life in John 6:35, 51. He is the sinless way to everlasting life. He is also the Firstfruits! He was the first raised from the dead in a resurrected body to never die again. He was the first of the harvest and the example for believers today that we are next to be raised. Paul confirms this in 1 Corinthians 15:20-23.

Pentecost, that lovely day when the Church Age began, when Grace Dispensation commenced. Yes the children of Israel had been honoring Pentecost for many years but did they know that this would also be the day that God sent the Holy Ghost aka Jesus Christ

See how the top of Mount Sinai is burnt? That’s because God descended on it in fire to show himself to the Children of Israel and prove that Moses was truly hearing from God on Pentecost. No Joke! But of course an unbeliever will give you some other explanation for why it’s black up there…

the Spirit into man? Did they know that this would be the day that changed the game? Now the sign of salvation wouldn’t be shown through whether or not man could keep the law but through whether or not man had the Holy Spirit to guide him. The question now became, “Do you believe in Jesus?” When the Jews baked 2 leavened loaves of bread on this day out of their Firstfruits grains they did not realize that the bread represented 2 peoples: Jews and Gentiles, both sewn in sin but the Jews spared and the Gentiles redeemed at the start of the Church Age. So what happened on Pentecost?

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. – Acts 2:1-4

On this day, Jesus sent a form of Himself that would never leave you, or me or any who believe. It’s called the Holy Spirit and all true believers, all who are saved have it. It is God/Jesus dwelling in us.

Now the Fall Feasts Must be Fulfilled

The first 4 feasts which are the Spring feasts were fulfilled at Jesus’ first coming. They represent Christ’s death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and the sending down of the Holy Ghost which started the Church Age. Now Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles will be fulfilled at some date in the future.

The Feast of Trumpets or Rosh HaShanah, or Yom Teruah, or the Day of Blowing, or the Hidden Day, or the day of the Open Door, the day of the Wedding of the Messiah (stop me at any time here…) Well many believe that the ultimate completion of the Feast of Trumpets will come at the rapture of the Church. This is highly possible for many reasons.

  • Trumpets parallels the traditional Jewish wedding which is a metaphor for the relationship Jesus has with the Church, His Bride, and how there will be a wedding between us and Him one day.
  • The last trump spoken of in 1 Corinthians 15:52 at the rapture that awakens the dead and calls us all up to the sky is the same trumpet that is blown at the end of the feast. (The sound the shofar makes is called Tekiah Gedolah)
  • All the alternative names for Feast of Trumpets point toward the purposes of the rapture: to wed the Messiah to His Church, for the Church to hide away while tribulation happens on Earth, for the Church to go through that open door spoken of in Revelation 4:1
  • It is the day that no man knows the day or hour because its commencement is based on the sighting of the new moon which no one knows. Therefore, it is celebrated for two days as no one is sure when they will see the new moon. There are many other reasons but that’s a whole ‘nother article my loves!

There’s evidence that Atonement may be a picture of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ as it’s the day of redemption for the Jews. As mentioned earlier, this day is solemn and is the day that the High Priest gives an offering for sin and is a day of deliverance and salvation. At the Second Coming, the Jews will NEED redemption and BADLY because the anti-Christ will be seeking to destroy them and they will be enduring the end of the Great Tribulation with evil all around them. They will finally cry out to the Lord and He will come and destroy Israel’s enemies and save all of the Jews!

“The feast of Tabernacles is significant in this regard because it is the festival which looks forward to the Millennial Kingdom of the Messiah (for the Israelites will dwell “in booths” when they re-enter the land, just as that first generation in the promised land had done). Therefore this feast will be a memorial and a celebration of the Messiah’s reign (and of Israel’s return to the land – God having fulfilled all of His promises to them in this regard). As far as other nations are concerned, failure to come to this festival would naturally constitute a grave offense, for that would be saying, in effect, that they were not happy with the King’s rule Luke.19:14, 27. And we know, of course, that in spite of the perfect righteousness of His rule and the glorious conditions of the Millennium, there will, nevertheless, be many who will become bitter and dissatisfied, even to the point of rebelling against Him in the end Psalm 2; Rev.20:7-9.”  (This is taken from ichthys.com!)

Tabernacles will be re-instituted for ALL to acknowledge as clearly stated in Zechariah 14:16

Must We in the Church Age Celebrate the Feasts?

So now! We get to the burning question ya’ll! Is the Church responsible for upholding the feasts? Well for one, let’s go back to Leviticus 23:2, 10, 24, 34, 24:15, 25:2 etc. The first thing God tells Moses to do is to speak to the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL. That is not the Church. Let’s also look at the timing of the giving of these feasts. They’re around the same time of the giving of the law and the law is for people who are not under grace. All throughout Romans, Paul reminds us that we are under grace and that we don’t need to help the perfect blood of Jesus by coupling it with works. Our works should be good because we are saved, not in order to be saved!

  • Wherefore, my brethren, you also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that you should be married to another, even him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. Romans 7:4
  • But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. (The Spirit did not live in man at the time of the Law! Only after. Later explains sins that we should not do since we are saved!) Galatians 5:18
  • Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. Galatians 3:24-25.
  • Him that is weak in the faith, receive ye but not to doubtful disputations. For one believes that he may eat all things: another who is weak eats herbs. Romans 14:1-2 Understand this Scripture. The law has told the Jews that certain foods are not for consumption and though the New Testament has now allowed us to consume these foods but warns they’re not the best for nutrition, people still hold onto the idea that it’s wrong to eat some things. This Scripture says don’t pick arguments about what we can and can’t eat because everyone is entitled to his opinion on that. Have peace while one with understanding of the Word eats what he likes, and the weaker in the Word eats herbs. The comparison is of the one who understands that the law does not bind him to food restrictions vs. the weaker one who thinks it does.

People I could keep going and going and going…

But there’s no need because it’s obvious, we are not the children of Israel. The law was not given to us. We, who are under grace do not need to keep the law which includes the feasts! These feasts are to be kept forever by ISRAEL! The reason we keep the Commandments is because it has been stated again in the New Testament that we are to keep them. Notice, the sabbath is not required of us either.

To put the nail in the coffin…

Here’s a Scripture I loooove and I told you I’d come back to. Colossians 2:16 says, “Let no man judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holyday (holiday/feast), or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; BUT the body is of Christ!”

There you have it. Yes the moedim are God’s divine appointments mainly with the Jews, and yes they are to keep the feasts forever, and yes, Tabernacles will be reinstated during the Millennial Reign of Christ on Earth. But guess what? No one is allowed to hold you to or  judge you based on what you eat, what you drink, what you celebrate (as long as it’s not against God and no, Christmas and Easter are not against Him). No man can tell you that you’re responsible for upholding the sabbath or any other Levitical institutions because they were given to Israel before there was grace. You, believer, who Paul called ‘brethren’ are not held to the law although you are to respect it because it is not wrong. But you are free in Christ Jesus as long as you believe. And when you believe properly, your works will reflect that all on their own. Ok?

Peace &Love Guys!

Drinking and Drunkenness

So What’s Soooo Great About Alcohol Anyway?!

What a day we live in! Where people can’t seem to have a good time unless they’re drinking and getting wasted. Upon opening this page, most will scoff, even

She like, “I ain’t givin up MY drank ya’ll!”

Christians, and think to themselves, “Shoot, I ain’t giving up my drink.” Or they’ll go, “pssh the Bible doesn’t say anything about drinking.” I beg to differ my loves! The Bible says a lot on drinking and being drunk and even differentiates having something in moderation and what it means to go overboard. If you want to see what God says on the topic, read on.

There are people who use alcohol and abuse other substances to wipe away memories and past issues, etc. Although this is a very real and prevalent subject, it calls for a much deeper Scriptural teaching and a lot of prayer, sometimes even counseling. Perhaps I’ll write about it another day.

This post is for those who are caught up in the world and have bought into the glamor of the party scene and the drinking lifestyle. Am I saying that there’s anything wrong with a party or one drink? No. But we live in a time where people young and old are becoming more and more convinced that drinking, mostly in excess is the cool, normal thing to do. And it’s not. Drinking in excess means doing too much. And it’s not hard to know when you’re doing too much. This is not of God and we all need to be honest with ourselves about our lifestyles vs. what God expects from us.

First Let’s Tackle Moderation

The Lord tells us to do all things in moderation. Not our idea of moderation but His. Phillippians 4:5 says “let your moderation be known unto all men.” For one, this means that we are supposed to demonstrate to the world, that as Christians we have mastered self control. And the only substance that we need or have in excess is Jesus Christ. Not the drink. Having an alcoholic beverage in the morning with breakfast is not moderation, but excess. Driving to the bar in the afternoon and

Smh

being unable to drive back is not moderation, but excess. And how is there any moderation demonstrated when you’re housing the biggest stash of booze in your kitchen cabinet? These things sound far fetched to some, but people are living like this every day. Every occasion is centered around alcohol and everything calls for a drink. Some become functioning alcoholics. And what’s sad and scary is that they don’t realize their dependency.

But as soon as we incorporate the Lord back into the equation, it’s much easier to analyze oneself and weigh our lifestyles with that which God deems appropriate. Matthew 5:13 tells believers to be the salt aka purifier of the earth. We are to be the light in dark places. How can we do that if we can’t find the self control to keep us from blending in with those who need us to set the example of how to live for Christ? We can’t do it if we’re drinking in excess and not having control of our devices.

It is not God’s will that His children do not learn moderation. Alcohol has the ability to change the natural state of our bodies when we’ve had a little too much. A little too much includes becoming tipsy, and certainly becoming drunk. They both exemplify lack of control and a form of gluttony.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 states, “For this is the will of God, even your sanctification that you should abstain from sex outside of the marriage covenant: that everyone of you should know how to possess (hold/keep)his vessel (body) in sanctification (separation through purity) and honor. Not in lust, just like those who don’t know God. Then verse 7 goes on to say, “For God has not called us into uncleanness but holiness.” I paraphrased this. These verses aren’t just talking about sex. They refer to the overall discipline God wants us to have.

Aw…So I Can’t do Anything Fun Then!

It may seem that way but the good news is that we can have tons of fun! We just need to avoid doing it sinfully. So what does the Bible say about alcohol in general? Well in Ecclesiastes 9:7 we’re told “Go thy way eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepts thy works.” I’m using the very beginning of this text to prove that there is nothing wrong with a little drink here and there. 1 Timothy 5:23 offers that a little wine for the stomach and infirmities is a good thing. And in John 4:46 we all remember that Jesus Himself turned water to wine at a wedding.

Hopefully it is understood that it’s not like a modest drink is sinful. It’s when people use alcohol to change the state of their being which I will explain now.

Being Unseemly

In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, we learn the ways of God. Some translations use the word “love.” Others use the word “charity” All refer to the description of God and what He expects us to exemplify. Verse 5 says that love does not behave itself unseemly. In other words, God does not act, nor does He approve of us acting in an unseemly way. It may be bad news to some but taking 6 shots of tequila and stumbling around is not seemly. We are supposed to carry ourselves with honor at all times. God, being merciful knows that we are not perfect and we are never honorable at all times. This is why He has forgiven the believer and told us in Matthew 19:26 that with men perfection is impossible; but with God, all things are possible. Therefore there’s no excuse for us not to strive to be like Christ, even though we will mess up sometimes.

What Unseemly REALLY Looks Like

YouTube Preview Image

Since we are to be like Christ and uphold standards, and carry ourselves with some honor, should we be chugging down beers, throwing back shots, and guzzling glasses of wine. Should we be cross eyed and tripping over ourselves, unable to walk a straight line? Should we be passed out on floors? Should we be trying to cure hangovers the next morning? Can you envision Jesus Christ, God in the flesh doing these things, acting this way, ingesting a substance that would weaken His capacity to remain fully in control of Himself? No? Then we shouldn’t either. This is simply not of God.

When we grasp what it means to be a representative of the Almighty, it gets deep! To represent means to be entitled or appointed to act or speak for (someone), esp. in an official capacity. We are officially charged as believers to carry ourselves in a way where people see God shining through us. Substances in excess, such as alcohol, stunt our ability to do that because we are clearly exemplifying anything but Godliness at that moment where we’re stumbling, headachey, and possibly shoe-less.

What the Bible Says About Drunkenness

This is ratchetness not righteousness

  • Proverbs 23:21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty.
  • Isaiah 19:14 (concerning Egyptian prophecy) The LORD has mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt yo err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggers in his vomit. (As we can see, God doesn’t smile on this)
  • Luke 12:45 But if that servant say in his heart, My lord delays his coming; and starts beating the menservants and maidens and to eat and drink and to be drunken; the lord of that servant will come in a day when he doesn’t expect him and cut him sunder and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.  (In other words, if we don’t live as if the Lord could take us home at any moment, and He does catch us living in a state of perpetual disregard for His will, He will count us as an unbeliever.)
  • Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
  • Romans 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
  • 1 Corinthians 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
  • 1 Corinthians 6:10 Not thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God
  • Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.

Body is Our Temple

When we accept Jesus Christ into our lives and hearts and believe in Him, He gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit to literally come and live in us. If our bodies each house the Holy Spirit which teaches and guides us, then shouldn’t we be sober minded as referenced in Titus 2:6 as well as have sober bodies? Our bodies belong to Him anyway.

You owe it to yourself and to the Holy Spirit to treat the temple with some respect.

Philippians 2:1-5 exhorts us to be like-minded, being of one accord, one mind with Christ. We are to do nothing in strife or vainglory but in lowliness of mind that we esteem others over ourselves and that we care about others more than we care for ourselves. We are told, “let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” Welllll…we’ve gotta be sober minded if we’re gonna think like Christ!

Not to mention, being that our bodies house the Holy Spirit and are only given to us temporarily to live in, shouldn’t we treasure them? Why should we go out and put poisonous substances in our bodies, that alter our devices and weaken our minds and bodies, change our thinking? Why would we gulp down things that destroy our livers which God made to keep our bodies running well? Why should a Christian, who should be reflecting the mind and honor of Christ, subject him/herself to the wild lifestyle of excess?

So to Conclude

Don’t give into the trends of today though it might be hard when your friends pressure you. Don’t listen to those who scoff at you for representing Christ! Do like they say and live above the influence of all substances. Anything that takes you outside of yourself, loosens your morals, causes unseemly, ratchet behavior isn’t love and therefore, isn’t God. Being slave to a substance even for a moment, losing control of a situation for a second can land you in a world of regret. The unexpected could happen faster than you can blink. Remember your health and remember your honor. Remember your purpose on this earth. We are to be a guiding and shining light to the lost. We’re supposed to be ambassadors for Christ. We are to be a royal priesthood, a peculiar people and stand out. We are in this world to bring people to the Lord but don’t forget, we’re not of it! Romans 12:2

Questions That Were Asked on Yahoo

Pretty common questions so I figured I’d answer them here.

1.) What sin did Adam and Eve commit for God to forbid us from going back

Adam and Eve Done Screwed Up

into The Garden?
They disobeyed God…it’s deeper than the tree. And then yeah the tree they shouldn’t have eaten from gave them knowledge they shouldn’t have had.

2.) Do you believe the Garden of Eden is heaven?
No…eye has not seen, ear has not heard, neither has it entered into the hearts of men what God has in store for you.  1 Corinthians 2:9

He is a creative GENIUS! Don’t question His creation praise Him for it! Even if He did it because He was bored!

3.) Why would God create us, just to give us willpower to choose to follow him? If he is all-seeing, shouldn’t he already know the outcome of such creation? What is the relevance of our existence, then?
If I were God, I’d get pretty sick of just existing lol. Well when He made creation He made humans perfect but WE messed up on our own. If we didn’t have choice, we’d be robots and I don’t think we’d prefer that. So although God knows the beginning to the end, He still provides the opportunity for us to choose our paths.

4.) Did God just pre-exist?
Yes. Psalm 90:2 John 8:58 Before Abraham was, I am.

5.) Do you actually believe some of the stories in the Bible? (Moses splitting

I wish this would happen all the time…Road Trip to INDIA!

the water)
I believe it all. Nothing is too hard for God. He made it all.

6.) How do you know if a false prophet rises if Jesus allowed his apostles to use his ‘powers’ to heal people?
You’ll know by what they say. Anyone can pretend but eventually they say or do something that is out of character of a real prophet or Christian. The Scripture says you’ll know a tree by its fruit.
If that person is saying things that don’t match with Scripture or are living ungodly lives, you’ll know.

Nuff Said

7.) Why are most Christians so hypocritical about homosexuality when it is only listed as sinful in the Bible ONCE, but having premarital sex (Adultery) is seen as a lesser sin in their eyes and is listed as one of the Ten Commandments?
Homosexuality is mentioned many times in the Bible, Old and New Testament Romans 1:26-28
And people unfortunately pick and choose what they want to believe and obey even though God said ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God meaning it’s God breathed and God approved. It’s not God’s fault if people don’t want to obey and have sex outside of marriage. That’s man’s doing. But He never wavered on His commandments and it’s still a sin. He only has to say it once and then we’re expected to obey.

8.) How do I know the Bible was even written by Godly men? There are so many contradictions in the Bible, should I follow the Old Testament, or the New or both?
They aren’t contradictions. You have to read it in context. Much of the Old Testament was written directly and specifically for the Jewish people before Jesus came and before there was Grace. That doesn’t apply now. Some of the Old Testament does still apply but you have to study and know who God was talking to at the time. The New Testament is for believers today who are saved by grace but that doesn’t mean all of the Old is irrelevant. How do you know the Bible is from Godly men? Because God chose them to write it. He said in 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God. You either believe Him or you don’t.

9.) For people who never learn about Christianity, and never get the chance

“Jesus sho loooove da churren”

to repent, do they go to Hell?
No. Those who had a fair chance to accept Jesus Christ and reject Him will but there are many from indigenous countries and children and babies that do not go to hell. God judges their hearts. And children are treated as innocent. Those who have had a fair chance to know Jesus however are accountable for that.

That All May Know Him <3

10.) When Jesus said “Repent, take up your cross and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior” does he literally mean travel the world spreading the good news of my faith?
Nope. He want’s you to spread the Gospel in all the ways you can and however you feel led but that doesn’t mean you have to get on a plane lol. You can spread the good news online, to friends, through your own ministry, to strangers on the street, however you want.

Once Saved Always Saved…OSAS Controversy

Can a Christian Lose Salvation?

Many Christians find themselves on one side of the OSAS debate at some point in their lives. OSAS is the acronym for:

  • Once
  • Saved
  • Always
  • Saved

OSAS is the belief that once a person becomes a Christian and accepts Jesus Christ into their hearts and lives, they will always be saved and will certainly enter Heaven at the appointed time.

There are Christians who say this is true. There are Christians who call OSAS a doctrine of the Devil. Hopefully, I’ll be able to break this whole thing down.

God’s Promises to Those Who Are His

First of all, we need to look at what God says about His children, Church Age Christians- people who are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. I believe that the Bible makes it very clear that once we belong to Christ Jesus, there is not a thing that can separate us from Him.

Once Saved This is You and Jesus, Joined at the Hip.

  • Romans 8:38-39 state that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
  • Then John 10:28 assures that those who are God’s are given eternal life and will never perish, nor will any man pluck us from His hand.
  • Ephesians 1:13-14 promise that once we believed, the Holy Spirit was sealed within us which is the earnest of our inheritance until our redemption.

BAM!

This brings me to my overall point. The Holy Spirit is a gift that can’t be taken back. Once He lives in us, He’s sealed in us and so is our salvation. A saved person has the Holy Spirit and therefore, cannot become unsaved by anything!

The complexity of OSAS isn’t an argument of “can a person lose his/her salvation.” The true question is whether or not a person is really, truly saved.

Only God determines who is saved and who is not. We, as flawed, sinful humans are in no position to judge anyone’s placement in Heaven or Hell because only God is perfect and He knows the hearts of individual men. Given that, everyone can examine himself and know whether the Holy Spirit dwells within them or not.

See, as I’ve mentioned in the Lukewarm Article some time ago, anyone can pray the sinner’s prayer. Anyone can claim to believe in Jesus Christ. Anyone can read the Bible and even know Scripture backwards, forward and in their sleep. But does Christ live in you? Does He guide your paths? Do you have a relationship with Him? Do you hear Him when He speaks to your heart? Is He the Lord of your life? Or is He just an idea, something distant that seems out of reach?

A True Story

Please note that when I tell this story, I’m not judging but rather discerning and stating facts. I had a friend some time ago whom I had always known to be atheist and never more than agnostic. He lived in constant sin, blaming and cursing and doubting God (just in case it turned out he was wrong and there was one.) He spent hours telling me all that was wrong with my beliefs and how he’d rather go to hell later and live a happy life his way now. As far as I know, he hasn’t changed.

This friend told me that up until he was about eight years old he was taught Christianity and believed in God. Bad things happened to him and he and his parents stopped believing. Now, almost 22 years old, my friend remains between atheism and agnosticism, giving no credence to God or Christ and stays unaffiliated with any type of belief. Do you think that the Holy Spirit ever really entered my friend many years ago at 8? Is it possible for a very young child to truly and sincerely have the Holy Spirit and be saved? Of course it is!! Yes! Yes! Yes! God reveals Himself to anyone who asks sincerely. But what kind of teachings were instilled in my friend? Staunch or shaky? What was it all based on? Faith or religion?

Maybe, just maybe my friend only took the title of Christianity because his parents did. Maybe he was frightened into doing it. And maybe the true Gospel and God’s love was never explained to him completely.

So you see, my old friend could very well turn his life over to Christ and accept Him now. Because there’s no sin that Jesus can’t forgive aside from the sin of dying as an unbeliever. My friend could decide today that he repents for his sins and wants Jesus to forgive him and enter his heart. He could ask for the Holy Ghost today and be saved. And I would venture to say that he still needs the Holy Ghost because he currently does not have Him. He still needs forgiveness and still needs Jesus because whatever Christianity he proclaimed at 8 years old is no longer his belief but rather, something that he proudly disowns.

Remember:

Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto Me, “Lord, Lord,” shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

This means that just because a person once called upon Jesus, or did great things in God’s name, it doesn’t make them saved. If they’re not living for Christ, if their hearts are in the wrong place, if their intentions are unrighteous, if they do not do the will of the Father Jesus is going to say to them one day, “Depart from Me, you who works in sin. I never knew you.” That means this person was never actually saved. On that note…

Once Saved Always Saved

The Lord Jesus made it clear that His children are His forever and He will lose not one. If you are truly saved, which is something only you and God know, then you are always saved. You will enter the Kingdom and you will never perish. While this does not condone sin and sinful lifestyles at all, Romans 6:1,2,15, we as Christians should be aware of the strength and power and forgiveness that is in the blood of Jesus Christ and what it means to be covered by Him. Hebrews 13:5 says, “I will never leave thee.” And equally as powerful, Jesus tells us in Matthew 28:20 “Lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Salvation is always with us, providing that we are His. To belong to Him, we have to believe in Jesus Christ and live for Him. We have to repent. And He will give us the Holy Spirit, an irrevocable gift. That means that salvation is forever with any born again Christian because a born again Christian has repented and believes in Jesus.

Now is the time, if you are not saved, to become saved. If you don’t have the Holy Spirit within you, ask God for it. Repent of your sins, believe in Jesus, and live for Him and receive His precious gift.

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2

We Are Living in the End of the Last Days…Accept Jesus Now

We are living in the last of the last of the last days and at the end of the end of the end times.

Never have I felt such an urge to proclaim the times we live in. There has never been more of an urgency to let the Lord Jesus come and dwell within us, yet it seems the world is falling away from Him faster and faster. There are a plethora of signs that signal that the Second Advent of Jesus Christ, and even sooner, the rapture of the Church are at hand. Many of them are named here but it would take weeks to name them all.

But the important thing is this: If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ into your heart and repented for your sins you need to do it NOW and not a moment later.

You need to acknowledge that Jesus is Lord and that He died to save you, because He loves you. He’s God. And He knew that we each deserved to be punished forever for our sins but He so loved us that He did not want that fate for His creation. So God came to Earth in the form of man to literally sacrifice Himself so we’d live with Him without condemnation, forever. He started a system where He already chose us. We just need to choose Him back.

What Jesus went through at His death was unlike any torment you could fathom.

The beating He took should have been ours. The knife-like tool that they repeatedly hit Him with in His back which ripped the skin from His bones should have been used on you and me. They used a whip with sharp pointed objects that just tore at the flesh. And back when Jesus endured this torment, the beating could last forever. Jesus was beaten by the strongest man first until he got tired, to the weakest man until he became tired as well. The hair that they ripped from His skin should have been ripped from you and me.  The abuse, every kick, every punch, every drop of blood should have been mine and yours. They made Jesus, our King carry His own cross. They mocked Him and roughly smashed a crown of thorns on His beautiful head and threw a robe around Him as if to say, “Oh so you think you’re the King, huh? Yeah well you’re a real King now!” They tried to humiliate Him.

They put nails in the King’s wrists that held Him to His cross and hung Him naked.

Imagine the feeling of all your weight hanging from nails in your wrists. And here’s the kicker. The man was innocent. He had never sinned, never did anything wrong. The Scripture says even the angels in Heaven are dumbfounded as to why God would care so much about you and I, and the world that He would come walk the earth in His human form just to deal with all of that. No one knows why God loves us so. We don’t deserve it one bit. We still sin daily, we will always have something to repent for, our holiness is but filth compared to His, yet He wants us. He loves us. He’s crazy about us. He wants us to live with Him, come away with Him, never to be harmed, never to sin, again. Who else could go through that for you? Who else cares that much about you? What friend do you have that forgives you every day even though you constantly, unknowingly hurt them?

The physical pain that Jesus endured was only one part of His torment. There was a war going on inside Him that no one would ever see or understand.

Jesus was being separated from His Father, God. How this happens when Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are all the same? (1 John 5:7 Jesus is the Word) We’ll never know. But Jesus had always existed and had never been without God (John 1:1). He’d always been a form or entity of God even before He came to Earth as man. But the day He took the sins of the world and paid for them with Hs sinless blood is the day that God had to transfer His wrath from the world, to Jesus Christ and all of the righteous indignation of God rested on His Son that day. Jesus had never known what it felt like to have His Godliness leave Him. He did it for you so that when we die, or when He comes back, whichever happens first, we will enter paradise, not persecution that we were originally appointed.

Long story short, you and I were on spiritual death row and sentenced to eternal life in prison.

But we have an advocate named Jesus who not only got us off, but was found acceptable by the Judge to replace us so that our punishment was fulfilled by Him instead. And anyone who believes this and lives a life pleasing to God will have everlasting life. Jesus promised to come back for His believers some day and He gave us the signs of when that day would be close. See, believers are called the Bride of Christ. He betrothed Himself to us when He died and He promised to return for us so that we could all be one with Him forever. That means we are His most loved, His favored, His adored. Who doesn’t want to be a part of that?

I’m telling you this, sounding the alarm in an emphatic way, because we don’t have a lot of time left. And if you don’t believe in Jesus Christ, there’s going to be a time when I can’t tell you to get right with God because I’ll be gone along with the others who believe and the door to salvation through grace will be shut. Today, June 11, 2012, we learned that President Obama has accelerated plans to take down President Bashar al-Assad of Syria, whose compound is in the hills of Damascus. This is Bible prophecy unfolding before our very eyes. This is indisputable proof that the Bible is God’s infallible Word.

Isaiah 17:1 &14 read: The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap. And behold at evening tide trouble; and before the morning he is not.

This means that Damascus, the oldest inhabited city in the world and capital of Syria will fall, becoming rubble, level with the ground. It will cease to be inhabited and it will happen overnight. In the morning, Damascus will not be there. This was a prophecy given to us about 3000 years ago and was set for the latter times, the last days. We are seeing it unfold just the way God said it would right now. Could it be, that when Damascus gets attacked, Assad and Ahmadinejad, as promised will strike Israel, who will then proceed to destroy all of her enemies, making Israel a nation of un-walled villages, dwelling peacefully and unsuspecting, setting it up perfectly for Ezekiel 38?

That was an extremely long sentence I know, but what if this is it? It’s going to happen in perfect domino effect which means not long after one event happens, the next one will and will set the stage for a global leader, the anti-Christ to take the world stage. Oh but Christians won’t be around to see the anti-Christ. We won’t be here to see the Tribulation start. But the Tribulation is in sight. We can see it unfolding before our eyes. So doesn’t that mean that the catching away of the Bride of Christ must be happening sooner than we think?

Look at how far along the Jews have come in regard to building the Third Temple in which the anti-Christ will stand and declare Himself to be a god. The Jews have had two Temples in the past, both destroyed. There are many Levitical guidelines for building the Temple and sacrificing in it given by God that must be fulfilled to the letter. Some of which were impossible until recently. But the Holy Bible fulfills itself. The Jews of TODAY have taken all measures to have the Temple built including finding an believably extinct Red Heifer without flaw. Have you ever seen a red cow? Ever? Nope that’s because they were extinct for about 2-3 thousand years. But they just started to pop back up in Israel. That’s one thing they never, ever thought they’d have! But God makes room and makes a way for His word to come into being.

The Red Heifer is Here check this out.

Another seemingly impossible stride was made in the rebuilding of the Third Temple. Only direct descendents of Aaron, Moses’ brother, are cleared to serve in the Temple as priests. Well Aaron was 3000 years ago, so how do we know who’s truly a descendent of his, now? They’ve found the Cohen Gene aka the Priest Gene. Only direct offspring of Aaron have this gene and it was not known until a short while ago who should serve in the Temple according to God’s guidelines. The Jewish Temple may not be built quite yet, but the Jews are more than prepared to have it done. Even they are sensing some kind of change in the times.

They can have that building up in a month (I’m exaggerating for emphasis) But all that needs to happen is for something or someone to take the Dome of the Rock (Muslim Mosque where the Jewish Temple should be) off of the Temple Mount, through battle, or after battle. Then anti-Christ would simply confirm a covenant, within it, allowing the Jews to finally have their Temple. Do you see why this Temple is so important? It’s only a matter of time before it’s there but it most likely won’t get there until the anti-Christ is on the scene. So if all the preparations are made: altar, descendents of Aaron, Red Heifer, and all, the anti-Christ can’t be far from the scene and that means Christians are going to be out of here even sooner.

Now just because we are aware of these wars, earthquakes, strange supernatural occurrences, and other end times signs, does that mean we become fear-mongers?

Do we have to go around declaring war and begging for battle, hoping for earthquakes? Absolutely not! We are to pray for peace. Particularly for the peace of Jerusalem. The peace of Jerusalem is only found in Jesus Christ. So we aren’t praying for or hoping for this sudden destruction, but we know it has to happen before the Lord can come and restore the earth and rule the world like He always planned to. And when we see the events that the Bible speaks of beginning to line up, we’re supposed to be ready to go! We’re supposed to know that it’s time to fly home. We’re supposed to pray to be counted worthy to escape all these things that are coming on the earth. It is an indisputable fact. Time is quickly winding up which is why Christians need to WAKE UP and start sounding the alarm to try and get the unsaved, saved!

When it finally hits you, the magnitude of what’s going to happen once the Bride of Christ, aka the Church is raptured, your heart will start to mourn for anyone who doesn’t know Jesus Christ.

The darkness that will descend on the earth once the light is gone will be unlike anything we can imagine. In the book of Revelation it is clearly mapped out. Things will become so awful and ghastly here that we in Heaven and all who are in Heaven will have no choice but to be silent for a half hour out of awe and shock for the supernatural reign of terror that’s taking place on Earth. And those who are on the earth after the rapture and had a chance to be saved but rejected it will have no more hope, but rather a destiny sealed as they believe the delusions of the anti-Christ. So Christians, you won’t be there for that but maybe you have family or friends who will. And who will taste the 7 year wrath of God if they don’t find Jesus Christ now!

These last moments here on Earth are crucial because in a little while, the deception will begin and when the Lord calls His bride away, people still on Earth will try to explain it away in the form of some alien invasion. “It’s ok because they took all the bad Christians away.” They’ll tell the unsaved, “It’s unfortunate that the Christians are gone, but now we can restore Earth to what it’s supposed to be and unify every religion and ethnicity.” Then there will be a world leader who surfaces and tells the world that the Christians disappearing is exactly what was needed to gain order and that those left behind are safe but this is a lie. This is deception that will keep most people from seeing the truth, that this new leader is the anti-Christ and that he will not be fixing the world’s problems. This deception will lead people right into the hands of Satan. Those who know the mayhem that comes at the time of the Tribulation should be the main ones sounding off and proclaiming to the world that the time to know Jesus is now! You don’t want your family, your friends, even strangers to be left to endure this.

And now, my personal plea. To all who don’t believe in Jesus Christ. To all who say there’s no God. To all who deny that Jesus Christ is God the Flesh and He died to save your soul, hear me.

The Bible is true. It wasn’t written by government or the Illuminati, or the elite. It wasn’t manufactured. It’s the only true text given by God, nothing else. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16), every word of it…it is God approved. And God promises that there is nothing that you can do that’s so bad that Jesus’ death on the cross can’t make you forgiven if you just believe. That’s all you have to do. Believe it! Romans 8:38-39. And once you believe it for real and Jesus is alive to you, you will strive to live a life pleasing to the Lord because it will finally register to you how much He loves you and all He did for you. There’s no way you’ll want to live in sin anymore once you see what Jesus did to cleanse you of sin.

Jesus wants to rescue you from the judgment that has to befall the planet. He doesn’t want to let you go through it but when you deny belief in Him, you’ve volunteered and opted to go through it. And the judgment for the unsaved transcends the Tribulation. The payment for denying Jesus Christ is eternity in Hell, burning in the Lake of Fire. Some say, “I refuse to worship a God who would allow people to burn forever.” You know what I say to those who say that? You are not God. You are not righteous. You are not the Creator; you are the creation. Therefore you are in no position to tell God what’s right and wrong. You must humble yourself and accept what is. God has to judge sin and that’s how it goes but He gave us all an out! He gave it to you, He gave it to me, and He gave it to the world, through Jesus Christ. Jesus already paid for your sins, all you have to do is believe it and when you believe it, your life will change.

Satan will try to attack you daily with temptation and doubt but you will find that Jesus is much more powerful than Satan’s greatest tricks.

Jesus is coming sooner than we think. As soon as we may believe He’ll be here, He’ll be here sooner than that. As much as we expect Him, He’s quicker than that. As much prophecy as we anticipate unfolding, it always awes us when it actually does. What could it possibly take away from you to believe in Jesus Christ? What harm could it possibly do? What could you possibly be holding onto that you can’t give up? See when the archangel Michael blows the shofar and the Lord Jesus descends from Heaven with a shout, there won’t be time to change your mind. The world will not see or hear Him, only believers will. It will happen faster than you can blink and then it’s over and the door is shut. The period of grace will have ended just like that and from that moment on, the salvation of everyone left will only be a mere maybe and a guess.

Today is the accepted time of salvation. Now is the time to be absolutely SURE of where you stand in Christ. Stop and ask Him now to forgive you, tell Him you repent for your sins and that you believe Him and want Him to come live in your heart. Not out of fear for what is to come but because it’s the truth and because He loves you so much. Jesus wants to show you love and what it really means to live. Jesus will give you such peace that no matter what happens in this life, your comfort and your foundation is always in Him and in the fact that He has a plan for you to one day soon shed this earthly body and these earthly problems and dwell with Him forever. In a body like His in a place that He created for you. He told us these things so that when hard times hit you we have a faith and a blessed hope that the best is still yet to come and that there is more beyond this life. Time is nearly up dear people. Enter a relationship with Jesus Christ now, and once you’re His, nothing can snatch you out of His grasp. John 10:28

Obama: Our First Gay President

President Obama Thinks Gay People Should be Able to Get Married

So This Sounds Okay Huh?

It’s not. Not in the sight of God. I’m gonna cut to the chase. President Obama came out last week to say that he personally supports gay marriage. He claims Christianity is his faith but this is what he said:

I have to tell you as I said, I’ve been going through an evolution on this issue. I’ve always been adamant that gay and lesbian Americans should be treated fairly and equally and that’s why in addition to everything we’ve done in this administration: rolling back Don’t Ask Don’t Tell so the outstanding Americans can serve our country, whether it’s no longer defending the Defense Against Marriage Act which tried to federalize which has been historically state law, I’ve stood on the side of broader equality for the LGBT community.

And I had hesitated on gay marriage, in part because I thought civil unions would be sufficient, that that was something that would give people hospital visitation rights and other elements that we take for granted. And I was sensitive to the fact that for a lot of people the word “marriage” was something that evokes very powerful traditions, religious beliefs, and so forth.

But I have to tell you that over the course of several years as I talked to friends and family and neighbors, when I think about members of my own staff who are in incredibly committed monogamous relationships, same-sex relationships who are raising kids together, when I think about those soldiers, or airmen or Marines, or sailors who are out there fighting on my behalf, and yet feel constrained even now that Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is gone because they’re not able to commit themselves in a marriage, at a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally, it is important to me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married.

Ok. So much is wrong here. And what is so troubling is that Christians don’t see it! They brush this off but the President spoke some very powerful and revealing words just then. Some Christians…they’re still making excuses for this man and supporting him when he supports things that are against God Almighty. This isn’t a political blog; It’s a Christian one, dedicated to defending the faith. I don’t know much about politics but I know right from wrong. I’m going to break down all that’s wrong with this situation here and the true significance of what came out of the President’s mouth. Bear with me folks, this will take a while.

By the way, please pardon if my writing is a little scatter-brained. I am writing in a creative burst right now and trying hard to remember all the thoughts coming to me and keep order. Please forgive me. I pray this message still sinks in.

First Let’s State What the Bible Says on Homosexuality

In the first chapter of Romans, the Bible speaks of the unbeliever and how he/she has no excuse for denying the existence and holiness of God, for He has written proof of Himself in every human being. It’s called our conscience. It’s how somehow, everyone, deep down, has a code of ethics. A code of ethics that didn’t need to be taught. We all know it’s wrong to steal. We all know it’s wrong to kill. We all know it’s wrong to slap your mother! No one ever had to tell us these things; we were born with a conscience. Because no matter who we are or where we are from, regardless of whether we’re raised by good people or raised by wolves, we know when we’re doing something wrong. Because we all do it in secret. Bingo. The second we have to hide something, we know we shouldn’t be doing it because we all have a conscience and that didn’t come from our parents, or guardians. God wrote it inside every man when He created us. Only He could install universal moral software in each of us! Read Romans 1.

After such a powerful preamble, Scripture goes on to say that although people know the truth of God, they don’t like it, and would rather convince themselves of the lie that the sin they’re living in is acceptable. So even though everyone has the moral software downloaded in them, they choose to ignore it, fight it, try to change it, because it goes against what they really want to do and makes them feel guilty about it. Now, we’re getting to the juice, guys. Romans 1:26-28 sums up,

“For this cause, God gave them up unto their vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust on toward another: men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate, (degenerate, depraved) mind, to do those things which are not convenient.”

Basically this means that because people have already convinced themselves that they’re going to do what they want: leaving the natural order of man and woman for same sex relationships, among other sins, God has given them over to their rebellion and allowed them to remain blind to the truth. Since they love their sin so much, they can have it. God has taken His hand off of them that wallow in homosexuality.

This is Not the Only Place in Which God Addresses Same-Sex Relationships.

Leviticus 18:22 says “Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination.” Plain and simple. Men are not to lay with men as they would with women. It’s an abomination. Clearly the same is true for women laying with women.  Leviticus 20:13, “If a man also lie with mankind as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” Now these were Old Testament times. God does not want folks going around killing gay people. Back in the day though, that was the recompense. Now after all this, the President still contradicts with a cushy, “I personally feel gay people should be able to get married.” Regardless of what God just stated above…oookay…arrogant much?

And please don’t make me repeat the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. In the book of Genesis, the stench of the iniquity which was rampant in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah was so strong, it was wafting up to God. Yes there were many other sexual sins happening in the land but the main one was unbridled homosexuality. Iniquity became so foul that the cities were known for the shameless evil acts there; God could smell it, and decided He’d had enough. He burned the place down and it’s barren to this day.

I don’t need to provide a million examples of where God says that homosexuality is wrong and an abomination. He only has to say it once for it to be so.

Why Does God Feel This Way?

First let’s acknowledge that we have no right to question Almighty God. Whether or not you debate His existence, whether or not you want to rightly or wrongly divide the Word, only one answer can be correct. God is the potter; we are the clay. He sets the standard. He’s the Creator; we are creation. We should find humility in that we are not wise as God is. We were not here when He was creating Heaven and Earth, light and life. Who are we to challenge Him? Man’s biggest enemies are pride and arrogance.

When God created life, He created it to multiply and reproduce more life. He made man and found that it was not good for man to be alone. So God didn’t create another man for Adam, He created woman: Eve. And her purpose was to be a help meet to man. This standard transcends the day on which man was created. Consider this. When Adam and Eve sinned, the punishment transcended that day and was passed on to all of mankind. Why would a God of order, protocol, and purpose, make woman to fit like a puzzle piece to a man right down to our insides, just to be a creature without use? Women are here to be a help to men. Women bear children. Clearly we’re here to do a lot more than that but my point is that we can do things men will never do, no matter how many surgeries they have.

There’s a family structure of man and wife coming together and making a child, both of them raising that child with the strength, leadership, and self-assurance that only a father can provide, along with the chaste wisdom, tenderness and brilliance of a mother. This was the design and foundation on which God began human life. The intent was never for this to be broken. And it doesn’t matter what anyone says; no same-sex couple can provide the balance for a child’s proper development that God intended. It is not alright to disrupt the natural order God has instituted. It’s a mockery of God. But regardless of all of this perfection already ordained by Him, President Obama has announced to the world that it’s okay for same-sex couples to be married. Hmmmm

The Institution and Sanctity of Marriage

Ephesians 5:25 commands husbands to love their wives as Christ loves His Church. This is probably one of the most used Scriptures to describe why marriage is so deep and holy. But Ephesians, the fifth chapter describes the unity of Christ and the Church (all Christians, saved by grace.) He says we are members of His body, His flesh and bones. Husbands should love their wives like they love themselves. This is a mystery, yet, a reference to the oneness of Christ and us.

Christ has a covenant with us. A promise to be wed to us one day so we will never, ever be apart from Him again. We will become one with Him.

Marriage on this earth is a metaphor for the union we will one day have with God. This union is so sacred and undefiled. Not to mention it’s a covenant! A covenant is an unbreakable, un-breachable vow! It’s serious business and a marriage covenant has certain requirements, one of the main ones being that it can only take place between a man and woman: 1 Corinthians 7:2. This point shouldn’t need drilling. Nowhere in the Word does God even hint that marriage is for anyone but an equally yolked man and woman. And the marriage covenant is so deep that it can only be broken by death, infidelity, and inability to have peace due to differing faiths.

Marriage is not a right! It’s an institution under which certain prerequisites must be met and same-sex couples don’t fulfill them. Because marriage is the symbolism of Christ’s profound relationship with us. Mr. Obama, this is not an issue on which you can “evolve” or form your own opinions and understanding. You certainly cannot do it under the guise of Christianity because it is the antithesis of what Christ mandates. No matter what you do federally, gay “marriage” will never be marriage in the eyes of God.

Now That We Have Biblical Proof that it’s Not Okay to be Gay, Let’s Talk About Obama

Do we all agree that a Christian is someone who believes that Jesus Christ is God Almighty? Do we agree that one who truly believes this will repent of sin and live to love and obey God’s Word? Are we all on the accord that Matthew 7:16 states, “You shall know them by their fruits. Do you pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?” In other words, you know who a person truly is and what their intents are based on the words and works they produce. You can’t pick a grape from a thorn bush. Thorn bushes produce thorns, love, not grapes. Therefore, you gotta call things like you see them! If you pick a grape from somewhere that’s how it becomes evident to you that only a grapevine produces grapes…right? You know what the plant is based on what it produces. Even if someone tries to dress it up and make it look different, it can’t change what it produces because it is what it is.

Don’t worry. I’m going somewhere with this. We also agree that Proverbs 23:7 says that, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” We agree that John 12:43 is clear that it is not good when we love the praise of men more than the praise of God. One who loves the praise of men cannot love God too because men praise those who do the opposite of God’s will.

Well then, if we all acknowledge that the Bible says these things and we are all Bible-believing Christians, it doesn’t take neuroscience to see why President Obama committed a big boo boo when he outwardly went against God and condoned gay marriage.

A Christian Knows Jesus Christ is God and Obeys His Word

Well, let’s start with the basics. If President Obama says that he is a Christian, he is expected to uphold Christian beliefs. This isn’t about “religion.” Christ didn’t come here to found rituals. He came to save the world from sin through perfect life, sacrificial death, ascension and grace. Therefore a person who has faith and belief in something upholds it if that’s truly where their faith lies. Our president claims the Christian faith; he is supposed to love, obey, and represent God. So why did his words exemplify the complete opposite? Remember this?

“I’ve just concluded that for me personally, it is important to me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married.” See, that’s not what God said. Proverbs 3:5 tells us to lean not on our own understanding and opinions. Isaiah 55:9 says that as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are God’s ways higher than ours and His thoughts, higher than ours. Um yeah, sounds like God knows what He’s talking about.

God brought judgment on two major cities and their smaller neighbors for this ideology of doing away with God’s wisdom and leaning on man’s emotions. How does one claim to be in agreement with something but in the same breath speak against it? How can you blatantly refute Jesus, who you claim to love, Jesus whom you acknowledge as God, your savior? Shouldn’t your views reflect His, if you claim to follow Him, if you claim He is sovereign? If not, then you must not truly believe in Him and who He is if you can allow your opinions to trump His law.

The Church today, aka Christians are to be disciples of God. Real disciples of God can’t blatantly go against God…that’s not what a disciple does.

Mr. President Explains Why He Really Didn’t Support Gay Marriage

“And I had hesitated on gay marriage, in part because I thought civil unions would be sufficient, that that was something that would give people hospital visitation rights and other elements that we take for granted. And I was sensitive to the fact that for a lot of people the word “marriage” was something that evokes very powerful traditions, religious beliefs, and so forth.”

Ok, it’s pretty plain people, that Mr. President says, he only held back on accepting gay marriage partially because he figured civil unions would be enough to give the LGBT community the rights they were entitled to as people. Wow! That says a mouthful. This means that honestly, Obama partially disagreed with gay marriage, not because God disagrees with it, but because he thought the LGBT community was fine without marriage as long as they had their rights. Gee, some backbone Mr. President. Way to represent.

Next, he brushes off nonchalantly that he was also only being sensitive to others’ traditions and religious beliefs. What about his so called beliefs?

There is No Excuse for Capitulation

“But I have to tell you that over the course of several years as I talked to friends and family and neighbors, when I think about members of my own staff who are in incredibly committed monogamous relationships, same-sex relationships who are raising kids together, when I think about those soldiers, or airmen or Marines, or sailors who are out there fighting on my behalf, and yet feel constrained even now that Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is gone because they’re not able to commit themselves in a marriage, at a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally, it is important to me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get married.”

As Christians, we should have no problem treating the LGBT community with dignity and respect as people. Of anyone, we should love them, not shun them. But here is where we go too far. In this paragraph, President Obama shares that he has allowed his surroundings to sway his values. He says that the encounters he has with homosexuals allow a sneak peek into their lives where he sees how much love and commitment they really have. He feels sympathy for the men and women who still feel in the closet because their lifestyles are taboo. Personally, in his heart, he is okay with the abomination. Why did he say this so close to election time? Was he trying to win votes? Who knows? Who cares? There is no room for capitulation and selling out in the body Christ.

As soon as we start to waver and our defenses weaken, Satan shows right up and starts to whisper things to us like, “Oh look at that adorable gay couple over there. See how they love their child? See how happy they are? Don’t they deserve to have all the same privileges as hetero couples? It’s just a legal issue; it doesn’t have to be a moral one. God doesn’t have to have anything to do with it, it’s all about rights…” Satan will repeat that over and over to you until you cave. But the Scripture says to put on the whole armor of God, Ephesians 6:11. Jesus said in Luke 9:26 that whoever is ashamed of Him and His words, He will be ashamed of him when He returns in glory.

When Paul writes in the Bible, he uses the word for “boldness” in his language 39 times. He specifically speaks of boldness in speech 28 times. Dude, do you think he’s trying to tell us something here? We aren’t supposed to sell out. The words we speak for and against God count largely. Christians are certainly not to open their mouths against God!In Revelation, John writes to the Lukewarm Church, admonishing that they will be spewed out of God’s mouth because they were not fully on His side, therefore they were stagnant and absolutely useless! What use does God have for a man who claims to love Him, but simultaneously defies Him?

Quickly, some examples of those who did not sell out on their beliefs. Some of whom were so much on Christ’s side that they became martyrs:
Stephen: Stoned for unrelenting belief Acts 22:19-20
Rahab: Defied the king and hid God’s spies Joshua 2:4
James son of Zebedee: Killed by Herod for being in the Church Acts 12:1-2
Daniel: Thrown to lions for praying to God and not King Darius Daniel 6:16
Paul: Constantly imprisoned for preaching that Jesus is Lord Ephesians 3:1-21

The Scripture tells us to test spirits and see if they are of God. How do you do that? You watch and listen. Do the words and actions of a person match up with the words and actions of Christ? Are their habits reflective of God? Does this person have a great speech about God but when it comes time to stand for Him they cower behind the approval of man?

Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Boldness doesn’t mean that we have to preach down the house to everybody we encounter. It doesn’t mean we are to judge one another or be condescending or obnoxious. But Lord knows, when the time comes to stand up for what we claim we believe, we had better deliver. When Satan is surrounding us, tempting us, talking us into sin Christians have to rise and say, “No, Satan the Lord rebuke you.” We have to say, “No, I am not for gay marriage. I believe in Jesus Christ.” The apostles weren’t always fearless but they lived courageous lives in boldness, going to the ends of the earth, going into the most sinful places to preach the Gospel. Most of them died gruesome deaths. They did not seek the approval of man. They didn’t need votes. They didn’t want presidency if it meant defying God because the truth was so real to them that nothing on this Earth was worth giving up the glory that they knew was coming through Christ. When God is real to you, when the Word is alive to you, you cannot fathom selling out, or capitulating to man.

Hang in There Ya’ll…I’m Concluding

We as Christians cannot have so much faith in a person who seems good that we deny who they truly are when they reveal themselves. I cannot stress enough, an apple tree can be called an orange tree all day long, but it will never produce oranges, only apples. Same with people. They can claim to be someone till they’re blue in the face, but if their actions betray their claims, they have shown themselves.

The Bible describes the anti-Christ as a man who will be seemingly good. He will do miraculous things but they are really only lying wonders. They are false miracles. The anti-Christ will speak great things and articulate like no other, like Obama. He will accomplish great things like Obama. He will appear to be great, like Obama. The anti-Christ, according to Daniel 11:37, will no longer regard the God of his fathers nor the desire of women. Clearly Mr. Prez has not revealed himself as a gay man and I’m pretty sure he’s not. But he has opened the portal for all that the AC does to be accepted here in the U.S. He will reveal himself through his words and actions like Obama. No. Don’t even go there. I’m not saying that Obama is the anti-Christ.

My point is, so many Christians are captivated by this man, his eloquence, intelligence, the fact that he is black, his achievements, his demeanor, etc. But he has spoken what is truly in his heart and it is against God. As soon as we see that, we cannot make excuses for him. We have to get on the side of right. That boldness has got to kick in. Whose side are we really on? There comes a time for every man to choose where his loyalty lies. We cannot be passive and conscientiously vote a leader back in office knowing fully well that in his heart, he defies God’s principles.

When Obama made a personal statement saying that in his opinion gay marriage is perfectly acceptable, he openly defied, dismissed, disregarded God’s word. We have to look at that for what it is and let our hang-ups go. God first, man last. God is wisdom, man has no wisdom outside of God.

Lastly…What This Means for Our Country

Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Welp, to be honest, Mr. President has brought judgment to our nation. It may not come today, it may not come tomorrow but it will come. The U.S. of A. was not founded on civil liberties, etc. It was founded on Scripture and Christ’s principles. We were the only nation governed by doctrine…I’m not talking about that radical “state controlled by the Church” stuff. I mean that the reason America is so blessed, the reason that Americans are free and basically always have been is because we leaned on God’s understanding and not our own. Illicit sex was still taboo, women had to be modest, honesty was the norm, we didn’t believe in unnecessary violence and crime. We have unraveled greatly. But when the face of the nation, the representation of a people and country announces that he has renounced his godly, Christian beliefs in a thing and has given into his own “personal beliefs” it is a reflection of the new mindset of this land, particularly when an uproar of applause comes from those who agree. And when a nation defies Christ, openly mocks Him, is boldly against Him, detaches itself from Him, He removes His covering of blessings and protection.

Where God may have blessed us, now He will not. God is righteous. And if he punished and judged the lands of iniquity and abomination that were Sodom and Gomorrah, He will have to exact judgment on the Sodoms and Gomorrahs of this millennium too, otherwise He’s neither fair nor just. And would you be comfy serving an unfair, unjust, wishy washy God? I don’t think so. Jesus Himself describes these times in Luke 17:28-30:

“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; (Sodom and Gomorrah era) they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.”

Jesus is saying that the same types of iniquities will abound around the time when He returns. He destroyed the city BUT He took Lot out first! Lot was counted worthy to escape judgment. You don’t want to be here when God judges the earth and purges it of iniquity. Don’t be like Lot’s wife, who looked back and mourned and longed for the sin of her old life as the city burned away. Don’t be so caught up in a president or any human that you miss the bigger picture which is boldness and taking a stand for God!

Last Thoughts

I hear a lot of Christians defend homosexuality and defend Obama’s views. They say, “homosexuality is a forgivable sin just like any other.” They say, “They’re going to live in sin anyway, may as well let them get married.” “You can’t judge people,” yada yada freakin’ yada. These are weak spineless remarks. I’m not sugar coating this. Christians are supposed to be just as rock steady, rigid, steadfast, and narrow-minded as Jesus is. Narrow minded sounds so bad but guess what…being narrow-minded filters out a lot of B.S. See when we resign our thinking to that of Jesus we will realize that the only way to righteousness is strait and narrow. There isn’t room for that namby pamby, fluffy puffy, shaky achey breaky, wishy washy, flimsy whimsy crap. Pardon me, but that’s exactly what that is.

Homosexuality is a very forgivable sin. Yes. But it’s still a sin that needs to be fought off and prayed on just like everything else. Unfortunately some are given this challenge to deal with but it doesn’t mean that you can continue to live in the sin. The wages of all sin is spiritual death, aka, separation from God Almighty. Sin does not inherit the Kingdom. I am not judging a soul. I’m calling a spade a spade. When I look at myself I know that there’s a whole lot of purging and purifying that I need to do. No one should ever tell another person whether or not they belong in Heaven or Hell because God could have a plan of salvation for that person that we don’t know of. However, we aren’t to shy away from declaring what is right. Jesus wouldn’t sugar coat the issues and He doesn’t expect us to. We have a responsibility to go out into all the world and preach the gospel, Mark 16:15.

And don’t settle for that, “they’re going to sin anyway, may as well legalize it” escape. What is that for a Christ-believing, Bible-loving person to say? So because the world is taking it upon themselves to dive into sin we minimize God’s order? We mock Him and tell the world we approve since we can’t stop it anyway? Noooooo! All the more reason to stand. If people are left in their sin it doesn’t mean that we  jump on their bandwagon. It means our voices become louder as advocates for Christ.

We do not capitulate because doing that is showing the world two things: That we are not unified or devout and that if we can open our mouths against God, we’re not really for Him. I end here. President Obama could have a thousand excuses for shamelessly, as the sitting President and leader of the nation, defying God. There could’ve been a gun to his head, he could be one vote away from being re-elected. Doesn’t matter. When we face God we have to answer for the things we said. How do you explain why you sought the approval of man over the approval of God? How do you try to stumble out an excuse to the Most High? Especially when back in the Bible days the apostles, and other Christians were martyred for their unshakable faith in Jesus Christ. We are supposed to be willing to go through fire and ice for Jesus Christ if we claim that His promises, His righteousness, and His sovereignty are real to us. Seek first the Kingdom.

“There is a way that seems right

unto man, but the end thereof

is death”

-Proverbs 16:25

14:12

How to Admonish

Leave Judgment to Jesus!!

Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. This statement should immediately humble every person who thinks he or she is better or more worthy than the next person. I will begin with humbling myself because I can definitely get pompous at times. But that’s when I remember I cannot throw stones at anyone because every single day, I deserve to have them thrown at me.

By grace, (undeserved favor) and mercy, (the sparing of punishment I deserved but did not receive) I’ve been forgiven just like other believers. Now that I’ve deflated my ego,

Hi, I'm ego...or at least I was.

and hopefully everyone else has too, I have to say this. Although we are not to judge one another, we, as brothers and sisters in Christ are to admonish each other when we see our fellow believers going astray.

Romans 15:14 says, “And concerning you, my brethren, I myself am convinced that you yourself are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to admonish one another.”

First let’s break down what it means to admonish.

Admonishment can have several meanings and intentions. In this case, admonishment isn’t for the purpose of punishing or judging but for the sake of:

  • Warning
  • Cautioning
  • Encouraging
  • Guiding

So when Scripture tells us that Christians who know fellow Christians who are leading sinful lifestyles should address it, that’s what it really means. To admonish in this case means to address in love and respect. It means that while we don’t despise our brother, we must call him out in the proper way and remind him that he is to walk in the light. It means we are not supposed to act like we approve of sin.

On what grounds are we worthy to admonish? Well it is all addressed right here in Romans 15:14. We may not be perfect but we must be full of goodness. That means we can’t be living in sin ourselves. We need to be cleaning up our own messes, or as it says in Matthew 7:3-5, removing the moat from our own eye before reaching to get a speck of dust from another’s. We also need to have adequate Biblical knowledge.

We must know what it actually means to be living a Godly life before we can point out to someone that they are not. And this is not a matter with room for opinions. We can’t throw in our own ideas of what is Christ-like and what isn’t. Everything that we say must be 100%, and unequivocally backed by Scripture.

For example, you know your brother has fallen into sexual sin and you say to him in private, “Brother, we must strive to live lives pleasing to God. You know that He hates sin and Scripture states that sexual relationships outside of marriage are sinful. Sin does not inherit the Kingdom.” That’s an admonishment based on the Word of God. Your grandmother telling you that your belly button piercing is going to put you in Hell is not an admonishment. That is a flimsy judgment based on non-Biblical opinions. However, if you are now becoming immodest and flashing your skin and wearing revealing clothing, that’s worthy of an admonishment because God actually tells us to cover ourselves and be modest. See what I mean? If you cannot connect a person’s actions to anything unholy and you’ve just made it up in your mind that you don’t care for a particular action then do not call that person out on anything!

And How Do We Admonish?

Don't Do This to People

Not with a megaphone, not in front of the congregation, not in public at all. This isn’t Scarlet Letter! The intentions of admonishment should be pure! Therefore, we do not embarrass each other. The purpose of admonishing fellow brothers and sisters in Christ is not to beat up on them and make them feel condemned.

The reason we are to do it is to present unity in our representation of Christ. In other words, we are all supposed to be upstanding members of the body of Christ because we represent Him. We’re supposed to be a light to the world and we’re supposed to bring non-believers to Christ. We can’t do that if we’re all running around living less than acceptable lives. We as Christians have something to uphold. We’re brothers and sisters and we’re a team. So we admonish gently and with love to encourage each other to get our heads in the game and focus on living right for Christ. For we are to be examples of Him to the world.

Peace and love

Lukewarm: They Don’t Make the Cut

The term “lukewarm” is used once in all of Scripture but it is a powerful term. In Revelation 3:16, Jesus makes it quite clear that a lukewarm person is, shall I say, displeasing to the palate. He says that He spews or vomits a lukewarm person out of His mouth because they were neither hot nor cold like water that sat still for days. So let’s get into what it means to be lukewarm and why people holding onto a lukewarm faith will not likely make the cut except they change.

Disclaimer! Some feel this post promotes that some Christians go to Hell…I laugh. That’s the last thing I’m saying here. I’m saying that there are people who claim salvation but only have a “head belief” of Christ and not a lifestyle reflecting Him at all. Similar to Satan. He knows the Word in and out. He believes in Jesus. He once served God but he does not have salvation because although he knows what the Bible says, he doesn’t want to and cannot accept it. There are people just like that.

There are people who have fooled themselves into thinking they’re saved because they said a sinner’s prayer but they have remained stagnant in faith being neither totally for Christ nor otherwise. Sadly, these NEVER had Jesus to begin with. This is not to say that people who are already saved can get unsaved. You cannot lose your salvation once you have it. Scripture says that once we are His, nothing can snatch us out of His hand! John 10:28.

The purpose of this post is to give lukewarm people the opportunity to shake this “head belief” of Christ, truly become saved and start living for Him. It’s easy to think you have much in the world and are rich in it, but really you have nothing because you’ve neglected Christ. Onward!

A Quick Note about the Laodicean Church

Hellloooo, I’m trying to help ya’ll out.

In Revelation 3:14 when John was writing to the Church at Laodicea, Jesus wanted to point out to them that they thought they were in need of nothing and thus remained stagnant. They thought they had acquired all there was to acquire spiritually and financially. They believed they had it all. If you asked a Laodicean, they wanted for nothing, nor did they desire to grow, because in their minds they needed nothing and their church had it goin’ on. But this was sad and untrue because Jesus told John to write in the letter that the Laodiceans were really poor, blind and naked!

The Laodiceans are called the Lukewarm Church because they weren’t hot or cold, but rather stale because they believed there was no need for any growth beyond what they had. They went day in and day out, content with their stagnant behavior and idea of wealth when really, they were missing so so much. Later in the letter, Jesus said to them, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Most people think that Scripture pertains only to letting Jesus into your heart and letting the Holy Spirit take over. This is a correct but only partial interpretation.

Remember, Jesus was talking to a whole church in this passage. A

Ahhh, that’s better :)

lukewarm church. And He said He’s standing at the door knocking. That’s because, while they think they’re so righteous and upright, Jesus isn’t even in there! He’s not even among them! That’s why He had to stand on the outside and knock and wait until the lukewarm Laodiceans allowed Him to enter. Then, would He be able to dine with them and work and move and live in that church. So in reading, bear in mind, that the lukewarm church, the Laodiceans had an appearance of holiness, ran a whole church, thought they had all they needed, but Jesus was not with them, all that time. He was outside, waiting for them to come to their senses, waiting for them to realize that what they had going on wasn’t anything at all.

Definition of a Lukewarm Person

In writing this article I am by no means declaring who will and will not enter Heaven. I am not determining who will and won’t be saved. The only salvation that I am sure of is my own. But the Bible says that not everyone who professes Christ or who once professed Christ, is actually of Christ. 1 John 4:1 urges us to try these spirits. There will be people who will claim to be of God but really aren’t. The way to distinguish these people is to see if their words and actions reflect Scripture.

A lukewarm person is someone who is somewhere in the middle of “in Christ,” and “not in Christ.” They are neither hot, nor cold, but room temperature. They aren’t actively seeking the Lord but they aren’t denying Him either.

Now, what characteristics might a lukewarm person possess? I feel that all of the characteristics can fall underneath one big umbrella: Lukewarm folks are not doers of the Word but are hearers only and thereby remain stagnant.

A lukewarm person hears the Word of God but they apply it loosely and leniently to their lives. They are not bold about or have strong convictions about the things of God. Yes, Sir or Madame Lukewarm will most likely believe in the existence of Jesus Christ but fail to allow Him to be the Lord of their life. A lukewarm person will interpret the Scriptures in a way that is convenient for them, based on their own understanding, and will pick and choose which ones they will use in their lives rather than taking in all of God’s Word.

You see, Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to lean not on our own understanding but let God direct our paths!

A lukewarm person may or may not attend church. If they do, they may only be going through ritualistic motions because they feel that they should. But they may otherwise be perfectly fine with forsaking the assembly which we we’re also told not to do in Hebrews 10:25.

They would rather hear about the rainbows and gumdrops and unicorns of the Bible and

completely omit the parts about sin. In other words, lukewarm folks dig it when they get a “feel good message” from church. But as soon as sin, and Hell are preached, they flee. P.S., sin and Hell and the Lake of Fire are mentioned more in Scripture than Heaven is. It’s the Bible, people, not Lisa Frank. Sheesh!

People of the lukewarm variety are also more concerned with matters and opinions of the world rather than being busy about the things of God. They are slow to share the Gospel and try to fit in with society. They are interested in being good people rather than living for Christ. They put great value on material possessions and things that will soon pass away. In some ways being lukewarm is basically about being so caught up in worldly riches that seeking the Kingdom is not a concern. I’m not talking about Christians who are just back-slidden and trying to find their way back to the Lord. I’m talking about folks who claim Christ but they’re just as unconcerned with living for Him as they want to be. They say they live for Him but they don’t.

This leads me to my next point about using the word “Christian” loosely.

Lukewarm People Are Useless to God

Note, I used quotations around the word “Christian” when I use it to describe a lukewarm person. Here is why. Don’t let me lose you here. Bear in mind that actual Christians can’t go to Hell or be spewed from Jesus’ mouth.

All one must do to be saved is believe in Jesus Christ and BAM! Salvation! Yes that’s true. But many people including the lukewarm group fail to realize that when you have truly allowed the Holy Spirit to renew you and come into your heart, there is a change in your behavior and in your thought process. A person who is truly saved will see that they must stop sinning, stop trying to please themselves, stop trying to please the world, and begin to live for Christ alone. You don’t just say the magic words and get saved. It has to be genuine.

Those who are not genuine will tell themselves, “Awesome! So now, the blood of Jesus is covering me and forgiving all my sins! I can do whatever I want and get away with it over and over!” This is not the mentality of a person who is saved and in Christ. Sounds pretty lukewarm to me. And think about it, Satan believes in Jesus. He knows more about Him than we do. But he doesn’t love Jesus nor does Satan live for Jesus. So being astute and acknowledging Christ don’t make you a believer. Romans 6:1-2 states clearly that God forbids us to continue in sin with the hopes that grace will abound, for we are dead to sin.

Does that mean that Christians will never sin again? Nope…we will never be perfect but Christians shouldn’t make sin a lifestyle and a habit.

And yes, our works on Earth do hold weight even though we are not saved by our works. Don’t believe me. Read 1 Corinthians 3:13 and John 15:2. Every branch that doesn’t bear fruit/ produce good works or live a Christ-like life gets tossed. It is rendered useless.

Unfortunately this fact goes debated by many so-called Christians because some feel that this means saved people go to Hell. But you can’t be saved and go to Hell. Therefore, if a lukewarm people isn’t saved, their works mean nothing. Would a true Christian filled with the Holy Spirit deny this fact? This encompasses all of the lukewarm characteristics listed earlier. Would a true Christian feel that they can get away with sin just because they said they accept Jesus Christ? That doesn’t sound very genuine or very grateful for the work done on the cross. Can we call a lukewarm person a Christian at all?

Would a true Christian find more value in man and his views than in God and His? Would a true Christian do the minimum just to get by? Would a true Christian use the Bible as a book of convenience rather than a book of 100% truth? Would a true Christian spend more time storing up earthly treasures than looking to heavenly ones? Think of all those things we talked about in the above paragraphs.

People who fall into these categories are not reflecting Christ. So when God tests their actions, they turn up utterly useless. The actions of these lukewarm people did no service to God.

They were stagnant. And when Jesus gets a taste of that stagnant, room temperature water, or lukewarm person He spews them out of His mouth!

If God is spewing you out of His mouth, well that certainly can’t be a good sign. The whole point of this article is to have everyone do a self-examination. Are you lukewarm or are you saved?

See What I’m Doing Here?

I’m differentiating between a lukewarm person and a saved Christian. If Jesus is spewing someone out of His mouth that person has clearly not inherited the Kingdom. That’s not judgment; that’s common sense. A lukewarm person believes he/she is saved. A lukewarm person may call out “Lord, Lord.” But Jesus knows that person never really believed in Him. He knows that He was just an idea.

A saved person may have trials and tribulations in this life but they are SAVED! There’s no getting around that. A saved person has a different life, a made over life. It’s a life that’s different from a lukewarm person. Do not confuse an unsaved lukewarm person with a true believer who may be struggling in their walk. There is a difference. They do not get spewed away from Jesus. He is not complaining that they were neither hot nor cold.

Point blank: A saved person cannot be lukewarm and a lukewarm person isn’t saved. Now can we pinpoint which individuals aren’t saved? Nope. We are strictly forbidden to do that. God is Judge. But He has made it clear that lukewarm is something you don’t want to be because lukewarm people are rejected by Jesus Christ.

Lukewarm friends, come out of your comfort zones and embrace all Scripture, and not just the ones you like. Don’t sin more and more that grace may abound. Do your best to not take for granted the blood of Jesus Christ. Don’t make excuses for why you don’t go to church. Stop excusing why you acknowledge the existence of a God but won’t obey Him. Don’t take too much comfort in your worldly riches. Don’t forget that you too have a work to do for the Lord while on this planet and you must exemplify Him in thought and in lifestyle. Accept Jesus Christ for real not just in your mind. Live for Him, don’t just talk about Him. And when you really believe in Him, He’ll change your life and the newness of your actions will follow that change.

Lukewarm friend, find salvation and don’t be rejected by Christ. Join the saved.

We must all be doers of the Word.

Peace and love!

The Rapture: Imminent and Real

I may be jumping the gun by discussing the rapture of the church but I see it’s a relevant, prevalent topic lately, and for good reason. The rapture of the Church is an imminent reality. Here, I’m going to explain what it is, who it’s for, why it happens, and what happens to those left on earth after it takes place.

I’m not surprised when I hear skeptics and scoffers going, “Oh great, here comes another “religitard” with another crazy end-of-the-world theory.” I know we’ve heard predictions and declarations since forever but I am not presenting you with a theory. If you don’t believe in God and His Son, Jesus Christ, then yes, you’re going to have a similar mindset. But remember, just because you don’t believe something, doesn’t mean it’s untrue.

Before you were born God saw your future and knew it would be grim. You would do some things that would make you worthy of eternal punishment. That same God decided, before you were even thought of, that He would save you from that future and forgive you. That same God saw you in your day to day life, struggling to make ends meet, struggling to keep peace in your household, dealing with physical pain, dealing with heartache.

So when you came into the world, you learned about that God who loved you, put a down payment on you through the blood of Jesus Christ, claimed you as His, and bought you out of your earthly struggles and out of your sin. Whether you live or die, your eternity with God is sealed if you believe in and obey Him.

My Story of Love for You

Behold I Show You a Mystery

The rapture of the Church takes place when Jesus Christ snatches His true followers, aka real Christians out of the earth and up to Heaven for 7 years so the Tribulation can begin here on the planet.

When this catching away happens, the dead Christians from the beginning of the Church Age to the dead Christians on that day will come out of their graves alive and be changed from their mortal bodies to immortal ones. The same will happen for those Christians who are alive and walking around. Both the dead and the living will then have resurrected bodies like Jesus has now and we will meet Him in the clouds, and together, enter Heaven.

Don’t take my word for it. Read this: 1 Corinthians 15:51-54. Philippians 3:20-21. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. If I were not Christian and someone told me that…I’d have to give them the stank eye. But I understand that this is a phenomenon done out of love. I hope you understand too after this explanation.

The rapture was a mystery unbeknown-st to humanity until the Lord revealed it to the apostle, Paul. In this revelation Paul learned, and later told us that not everyone is going to die, but rather, one day Jesus is going to appear in the clouds, and with a shout, take His people dead or alive in the middle of whatever we’re doing and give us new bodies just like His own and we shall be that way forever and live with the Lord.

Why? To Escape All These Things

Well, first and foremost, God is righteous. He is not mean! He can only have righteousness in His company and He must judge unrighteousness. Who are the unrighteous? The unrighteous are sinners who chose to remain unforgiven, aka nonbelievers.

People who chose to continue in their iniquity like picking and choosing which parts of the Bible they would believe and which they wouldn’t. So-called Christians who are lukewarm in the faith.

People who chose to find their own way to Heaven. People who continued in sinful behavior. People who didn’t accept Jesus as the ONLY way to God. God must judge these people.

When God judges these people it will be a catastrophic time on Earth. For 7 years, there will be death, destruction, demons, deception, disease, disaster, like the world has never seen. And there will be no escape. These 7 years are the Tribulation. 7 years lead by the Satan-controlled Anti-Christ. These are things that will lead up to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ at the end of the 7 year period.

These times are not meant for believers. 1 Thessalonians 5:9. Luke 21:36. Believers were not appointed to wrath. This judgment that God will bring on the world is not for us.

There’s another reason for this 7 year Tribulation. It’s to bring Israel and the Jewish people to Christ. Thousands of years ago when Christ was here in His mortal body, He told the Jews that He was the Messiah that they’d been waiting on.

Long story short, Jesus wasn’t what the Jews were expecting as their ruler, king of kings, or much less their God. So the Jews rejected Jesus which opened the door for Gentiles (anyone who isn’t a Jew) to be saved by grace through faith in Jesus.

Thanks to the Jews, we now live in the Church Age or the Grace Dispensation. We live in a time where we are not under Messianic Law. We don’t have to perform sacrifices or works to be saved. That is Old Covenant. All we have to do is believe and obey aka grace through faith!

When the rapture occurs, the Grace Dispensation or Church Age ends. That means the Holy Spirit (the part of God that lives inside believers) is gone from the earth and the Old Covenant has been reinstated. That means it’s time for God to turn His attention back to His chosen nation of Israel.

The Tribulation is judgment for the Jews as well as it is for the rest of the world but Israel will always be under God’s protection. So when things get really bad on Earth during the 7 year period, God will shelter His people.

Jesus said He will only return to the Jews as their Lord and King when they cry out to Him and accept Him as the Messiah. Unfortunately the ONLY thing that will make that happen is a 7 year Tribulation. They’ve got to hit rock bottom before they accept Jesus.

So yes, the Tribulation is for the Salvation of the Jewish Nation. At the end of the 7 year tribulation the raptured Church will come down to earth with Christ at the Second Coming to defeat the Anti-Christ with the Lord.

Eeep! Who Wants to Try to Survive THAT?

Eh…no one which is why it’s imperative to accept Jesus Christ now! No man knows the day or the hour when these things will take place. Matthew 24:36 tells us that. But right after that, and throughout all the of the Bible, there are warnings and signs and clues pointing to these times, also known as the End Times.

The end of the End Times began when Israel became a nation in 1948 according to most Christians, based on the parable of the fig tree, which states that when we see the fig tree (Israel) puts forth branches (becomes a nation) know that summer is nigh (things are coming to an end) Mark 13:28-37.

It continues to say that the generation that sees the fig tree sprout branches (Israel become a nation) will not pass until all the events of the End Times are fulfilled. That includes the 2nd Coming of Christ.

As you can see, we are in the end of the End Times. Jesus gave us lists of things that would let us know that.

  • Wars and rumors of wars.
  • Earthquakes in diverse places.
  • People becoming lovers of themselves.
  • Natural affections waxing cold.
  • Everyone turning against Israel.
  • Knowledge will increase.
  • People will be able to travel back and forth across the state, country, world.
  • The Gospel will be preached to all the nations.
  • 2 Timothy 3:2 Daniel 12:4 Matthew 24 Mark 13:8 just point us to a few of the signs in the BEGINNING. Things have gotten worse than these things on this list and we are commanded to WATCH for the return of the Lord.

Because right now, life is going on as it did in the days of Noah…before the flood. Matthew 24:37

Those who remain on Earth after the rapture will have to endure the Tribulation. During the Tribulation the Anti-Christ will arrive on the scene and cause world peace and end hunger and war.

He’s going to look like pure awesomeness. But he ain’t! He is a deceiver. He will have ways of performing supernatural miracles and everyone will worship him. He will cause a false peace in the Middle East when he signs a treaty with Israel for 7 years-the length of the Tribulation. When he has done this, the Tribulation will begin.

For the first 3.5 years of the Tribulation the AC will seem like the man. But after that, he will show his true colors by breaking his treaty, desecrating the Jewish temple, and basically starting a reign of terror. This second half is called the Great Tribulation.

Most will not survive the Tribulation because aside from the AC being a total butt at this time, God will be unleashing 21 supernatural, seemingly impossible judgments on the earth. Read the last book of the Bible, Revelation. Those who turn to Christ during this time will likely be martyred for their beliefs. God is going to allow Satan to run rampant with evil, and God will allow famines, sickness and death to wipe people out. There will be undrinkable water, blood moons, dark suns, and things so unspeakable that there will be silence in Heaven for a half hour while some of this is going on.

It’s all in the book of Revelation. The AC will force people to pledge allegiance to him by taking his mark of 666. This will allow people to buy and sell so they can survive in a cashless society. But um, when you take this mark, you’ve sealed your destiny with the devil.

So don’t take that mark!! It can come in the form of an implanted chip, a tattoo, or whatever! It is better to die for Christ and seal your eternity with Him in these times than it is to hold on to survival and stand with the Beast. Luke 9:24-25.

Want to know something else? 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 states that those who had a fair opportunity to believe in Jesus before the rapture and rejected it anyway will be sent a strong delusion from God and they will have lost all chances to be saved. They won’t be able to believe in the truth if they want to. The only thing they’ll be capable of believing is Satan and his lies. That doesn’t include children or indigenous people of other lands with no way to know about Christ. We’re talking people who heard the Word loud and clear, did not like it, and refused to accept it. There is no hope for salvation for those people after the rapture. People, this is why it’s imperative to accept Jesus now! Today! There may not be a later.

So What’s My Point?

My point is that all of this can be avoided, and you too can be counted worthy to escape all these things if you would just ask Christ to come into your heart and be your Lord. He already did the work to take you out of Hell, and out of the Tribulation. He did it out of love.

Now all you have to do is accept Him, believe in Him, confess your sins and your acceptance that Jesus is God, and obey Him. Stop sinning and turn to Christ. He’s the only way to God and the only way to escape wrath. Then watch for Him by studying His Word and the signs He left us.

He is returning quickly. We are not to be in darkness about that. Only the unbelieving world will be caught off guard by the rapture. We do not have to know the exact day and time in order to determine the season (0r time frame) of His return and in order to be ready. 1 Thessalonians 5:4-11

Don’t you want to be part of the blessed Church? Don’t you want Christ to remove you before He allows destruction? Don’t you want a new body that can’t hurt, and can’t die, and can’t sin? Don’t you want to be part of the Bride of Christ and enjoy the wedding feast in the sky with Him? Don’t you want to defeat the Anti-Christ with Him and rule on the earth with Him for 1000 years? And after that, wouldn’t you rather not be tossed into the Lake of Fire, but rather live in the presence of God?

This world cannot offer you that. But God offers much more through Christ. Go home with Jesus and His Church in the rapture and be counted worthy to escape! Time is running out.

Peace and Love
